Parish Council

Parish Council members will serve staggered, three year terms. Membership will include individuals representing permanent parish organizations, and the organization puts forward a replacement.

The full Parish Council will meet six times per year on a bi-monthly basis. Members may also serve on ongoing or ad-hoe subcommittees to implement specific projects.

Characteristices Sought for Membership on Parish Council are Active, confirmed members of Blessed Sacrament Parish, Mature Catholic with commitment to spreading the Gospel, Creative, hard-working or both, Interest in sharing their faith with others, Willingness to learn and research means of ministry and an active prayer life.

The Blessed Sacrament Parish Council is unlike many parish councils, which deal with all areas of parish life including a signficant number of administrative details. This Council will be clearly focused on two core areas of Catholic Ministry; Stewardship encouraging active Catholics to more fully integrate their faith into their daily lives, and evangelization. Reaching those away from the church with the Gospel message and inviting them to live with us in a community of faith.

Organizations drawn from with current representatives are; Education Commission, Finance Committee, PTO, Altar & Rosary, Knights of Columbus, Religious Education, Fellowship Committee, Adult FAith Formation, Blessed Sacrament teachers, Helping Hands & Hearts, Communication Committee, Welcoming Committee and Parish Activity Committee
