The Usher's responsibilities include welcoming people into the congregation, helping find seating when necessary, taking up the collection, and guiding and directing parishioners during the reception of Holy Communion. It is also the duty of the Usher to be responsive to special needs of the elderly or disabled. Hearing aid devices are available for use during Mass. These devices can be found in the sacristy.
